Maybe you find yourself frequently in a post-game debrief, jotting down details on a napkin, a scrap of paper, or on the back of a receipt. Map Out Your Adventures
Your first step is to fill in the profile page at the very start of the book. We know it’s a lot of pressure, you’re going to want to use your best handwriting and your favorite pen for that. Ok, done that? Perfect. Now it’s time to start using your passport.
At the front of the book you’ll find a series of 13 map pages. Explore your way through silhouettes of all the US states, and then a couple of world pages that are ideal for those globe-trotting individuals who go a little further afield on their escape room adventures! You’ll also find an enclosed sticker sheet, with pin-shaped decals, ready to stick onto those maps to mark the locations you’ve travelled to.
Don’t Forget Those Details
Once you’ve pinpointed the escape room’s coordinates, you’ll want to flick through your notebook to find a fresh log page. With spaces dedicated to the venue and game name, location, and even your host, we’ve thought of everything. At Escapography we love playing escape rooms, so we know all the important bits you’re going to want to write down.
Now it’s time to go to town on the notes section. It’s like that post-game debrief, but in a form that fits right into your pocket! There’s even a place for a star rating, and checkboxes for common escape room encounters, because who doesn’t love that satisfying feeling of ticking a check box?! Finish up by writing your game’s best puzzle and biggest challenge, and you’re done!
One great thing about getting those all-important game stats down, is that you can reflect on your experiences easily, without having to rely solely on your memory. Which, if you’re anything like us, can get a little bit fuzzy after time! You’ll also be able to compare and contrast, between venues or of similar themes, to determine overall your best, and dare we say, worst, rooms!
